Aerodynamic Tips and Tricks You Can Use for Better Performance - Hot Rod Magazine

I have to admit, the above diagram did remind me of the below diagram.

Beetle Aerodynamics / Roofspoiler
Something Goro Tamai mentioned in his book, was that the 'torpedo' form (streamline body of revolution ),in free-flight,generates zero lift.
When it is cut in half to become a half-body,it can be oriented in inclination (rake) so as to produce zero induced drag (zero lift).
With respect to HOT ROD Magazine's comment, cars usually get into when they go sideways at speed,as with Racing Beat's RX-7 which flew at 235-mph.
At 'normal' driving speeds, the half-body (pumpkin seed) is essentially a zero-lift body.It requires no spoilers,as there is zero separation and its associated low pressure occurring anywhere 'over' the body.
Face-on,at zero yaw, pressures around the body are uniform, per location.
Tamai says that a simple spine down the upper center line is all that's necessary to quell any lift in crosswind or gust.
