Agreed. An Insight totally stripped out, with MIMA, and 1 inch ground clearance on the air dam should do a LOT better than 67 mpg- especially since a stock one did 65 under the exact same conditions.
The S10 should classify under the MP4G, and when we chatted he hit high 30's, ~37 if I remember correctly, and that's the same class as McLoveland. 75 mpg,
C'mon son! That's so impressive! lol, his Civic whooped the diesels, hybrids, THE INSIGHTS, and was only ~15 away from the Cam car- basically a homebuilt XL1. Thank God my Mustang isn't a 4 banger...
McLoveland definitely showed how critical driving technique is compared to the vehicle. Don't get me wrong, he has built quite the vehicle, but when comparing it to the Alfred State Insight, it was the nut that crushed it.
