That I'm not sure about, maybe you need the terminal bolt in there to make contact with the end of the last cell? Can you post a pic of the other end?
It might be worth splitting your posts into a new thread, since there's a lot of good info and pics specific to the Accord hybrid. A moderator could do that if they see fit.
