Yep. When I bought my first real car (ie, not a <$1000 clunker) one of the sales people I worked with 'suggested' a local agent. Been using him for insurance ever since. My rates seem to continuously spiral downwards, and every once in a long while I get a phone call when he figures out he can get me something cheaper.
I've got better things to do with my time than worry about car insurance, frankly. Plus, I have someone to contact that
I can actually get a hold of in seconds. Should I ever need to, I can go yell at him in person too.
