It doesn't bond to the surface like paint, it conforms and adheres through suction. So once it's cured it's reasonably durable but if you get under an edge it peels off. It more like a vinyl wrap than paint.

I just bought two rattle cans locally for $8/each. Three would be enogh to do a roof. 2-3 gallons to do a whole car.
