DIY/Cheap mirror delete

I removed my passenger mirror and made a cheap/free cover for it, I have not installed it yet because it has been raining and I think I am going to silicone it on (which won't cure in rain)

This is what I made the cover out of, it is the middle of a lid for a plastic tote. We cut the middle out of the lid so we could use it for our chicken brooder. Anyways, it was just layin around the garage, so I decided to use it.

This is the cover mock up on the car. I have already done the final fitting and painted it, it just needs to be put on the car. I am going to use silicon to make sure it doesn't leak or anything. I'll post pics when it is done and let you know if I have any air leaks or anything. Thanks for checking out the post. Got any ideas or anything else to add, please feel free.
