Yes it is "lean burn". More diesel like than a gas engine without the NOX issue.
Runs on blends of diesel and gasoline as well as almost any type of liquid fuel, possible emissions legal without any aftertreatment.

I like evacuated tube transportation technology better, New York to LA in 45 minutes, human passenger magnetic rail gun that takes you close to 200 miles to get to 4000 MPH and recovers that energy slowing down at your destination. Now that's my kind of electric transportation, you carry no fuel in the vehicle, just a pod with passengers in 0 atmosphere.
