Not all sticky back Velcro is the same. My Scangauge has been fastened to the top of my dash for several years with the same Velcro. My truck is parked facing the sun during the day, and has seen outside temperatures over 100 degrees F.
I get my sticky back Velcro from Walmart. It's a little pack containing several pieces about 2 by 3 inches.
