No its not mine, I posted a image so we can see the Palmer , I have never heard of one before , I like it though.
I like your idea of keeping the motor original, not only is it nice to keep its parts original (minus the speed controller) but the 12v will be good for your batteries mileage.
Post a pic of your bikes drive if you can.
