The oxygen sensor measures the oxygen content in the exahust. It generates a very samll amount of voltage depending on the oxygen content. The range of voltage is 0-1volt.

The sensor knows not what fuel is introduced, so if you add another combustible fuel other than gasoline, the sensor will read the percentage of the post combustion oxygen.
The signal is read by the ECU which then adjusts the duration of the injector cycle to produce the proper air fuel mixture.

If you add more non metered combustible fuel, the system will reduce the amount of fuel injected aslong as it is within the range of the systems adjustment. Outside of that range will most likely get you a check engine light.
