A road force balancer can also help find a bad wheel. by measuring the wheel run out I've found bent wheels that I couldn't other wise see, like if the wheel was bent in a way that it wasn't bent in a small area, but more egg shaped, or if the center/ hub of the wheel isn't true to the bead of the wheel. If there isn't something easily found loose, most vibrations seem to come back to just being tires.
