Yes, you are correct. Being Florida may have affected the magnets, but can't be sure. Next trip I will replace with a new set to test.
The difference in mileage between down and back is negligible. I am going to disconnect battery over nite to erase ECM and reset with magnets applied, then do a another test in fall.
