We literally found a bumper on the highway, I believe it was from a Nissan Maxima, the previous generation to current. the flat portion of the bumper happen to be wide enough to fill the gap and the underside curve of the bumper was perfect to make the flat top that sits over the radiator support.

Heck even the bumper curve worked out well against the Vibe. Once cut we used a 2 part plastic repair epoxy sold by SEM to bond the two plastics, after that, it was just light putty and primer. I will repeat the process again next week when I do the fogs, this time though I'll bring the camera .. LOL
