See if you can sniff the smoke. Just a bit, in case it's toxic! Does it smell sweet? In that case, it's coolant. Look for anything with coolant lines running to it in the general vicinity. Like the throttle body that was already mentioned. The hoses can crack with age, or with being moved around or bumped. There may be other bits that have coolant plumbed to them; look at all of them and all of the coolant lines.
