Taking 4-cylinder engines as reference, how much is the cost difference between a spark-ignited bi-fuel and a Diesel dual-fuel conversions back there?
I don't think anyone does spark-ignited conversions of diesels because the resulting consumption would render it very fuel-consuming, thus it isn't worth it. Converting a petrol car to run on LPG can go from €1500 upwards, depending on if it's a carburetor or fuel-injected. Diesel to dual fuel is at least €2000, and given current fuel prices, makes it cost-ineffective. An LPG kit on a gasoline car pays for itself in fuel savings in about 25000-30000km, no problem. A diesel conversion in a regular passenger car would take at least 100,000km. That's why they're commonly used in trucks, and not road cars.
