Surprisingly not that hard. Most of the local brewers make a in house version of proper strength that can be obtained at a State liquor store or at a restaurant with a full bar. Even the grocery store obtainable ones at 3.2 are pretty tasty.

Local brew supply stores are also popular for the reason you state. Home-brew...another hobby I don't have time to take up....
