The high tech way to do this is to have two phones connected to the same line sitting next to each other on your desk. When you get an unwanted call, pick up the 2nd handset and place the two handsets next to each other so the 2nd handset's receiver is touching the 1st handset's transmitter and the 2nd handset's transmitter is touching the 1st handset's receiver. This will initiate a cascading audio feedback loop similar to the screech on a PA system when its gain is set too high. This feedback loop is something that was easy to do on the old fashioned phones where the transmitter was on a cord and you held it to your ear.
