That's just the hardware. Alternatively you could also buy an add-on accessory box to provide caller ID. But you still have to pay for having the
service which is added on to your monthly phone bill.
As I mentioned in a much earlier post, another effective strategy is to have a phone with voice mail (or an answering machine). If your phone rings and no message was left it's a sure bet that it's a telemarketer, because they never leave messages. It won't keep them from calling and trying again, however.
