Well it is possible to bypass the AC light output and draw the lighting circuit from the battery , all charge goingto the battery then a regulator to run the lights DC and thus LEDs are possible. It will probably run $300 with a bit of change .
It sounds a lot but decent lights are one of my primary requirements these day . After years of riding trail bikes with smudgey yellow lights I've become addicted to clear bright white !!
