If all of the Nissan Leafs were built in a single factory, this recall would still only cover about 500 cars at best, but Nissan has 3 factories building Leafs.
My parents just bought a used Leaf and they already had a few "Recalls" in the form of a soft ware upgrades, but if they had been told that they would get a brand new car at the dealer I think they would be ok with that.
Much better then owning a Jeep from the mid 1990's that would do things like catch on fire when you turn the key off.
