Piezoelectric generators

Anyone working with them in the automotive world, especially as a NVH enhancement particularly?

I mean, cars use all kinds of noise and vibration damping, seems to me that some piezo generators as engine mounts, for instance, have the potential to create a decent amount of electricity from wasted engine movement. Fuel savings, engine wear and tear savings, more power to the wheels (no alternator), etc..

Is the tech just not up to par yet?
