Fan drain is decently high; when I was in Dallas last week, I had the a/c on the whole time (meaning rad/condenser fan was always on), and I could hear the alternator whine as it was constantly fielded. Without the fan running I normally only hear it whine/charge like that after I shut down at stoplights and restart.
