Unnecessary in my opinion, just like the backup cameras that are required on new cars in the next few years. Funny, if you walk to the back of the car to make sure you arent gonna run over anything, you pass the tires - two birds with one stone, and you didnt need all the extra b.s. that adds more cost to the vehicle and maintenance. I wish they would educate drivers instead of legislating out common sense.
