seeing the idea from on here, today i got some foam insulation tubing for my AC line running beside the engine. but going down behind the radiator it is all kinked so i would need like 10 more zip ties and somehow be able to reach it. for $1 if it helps keep it cooler at all then well worth it.
i noticed the rubber tube had a very thin insulation about 5" long where it crossed right in front of the engine just before the crimp connecting to more aluminum pipe down behind the radiator.
I found some foam tape to help seal my underbody tray along the front of the bumper. Now I'm wondering where else I can apply this stuff. maybe I can line my hood with it, except where the intake sucks in air. the intake opening itself uses some foam tape to help it collect more air.
you can see it below but i didnt get a pic of my insulation yet.
