kach22i's video shows a drawing that confirms the Morelli influence. The link xntrx added explains that it is front-engined four-wheel drive. I was wondering about that, but it turns out they laid the engine over on it's side 'like a dirt track racer' to get that low hood line.
The fly-by-wire steering needed a feedback loop. I wonder why they didn't use a
selsyn motor. It's pretty obsure, maybe they hadn't heard about it.
