It's not really preachy, this just isn't a "how to beat a ticket" type place. It's an efficiency place, and fighting tickets simply isn't efficient. A radar detector is, though. It only has to help once, and it's more than paid for itself. Very high ROI on those things.

They don't reduce the amount of attention you need to spend on looking for cops, though. You still need to be doing everything else right and also decide whether its beeps actually mean anything to you. But if the cop's being lazy then his radar just might warn you before you see him. Every little bit helps.
