i don't think wiper delete will help. pretty much a dead zone that low on the windshield.
my drive is 95% highway.

Yes. Instrumentation is on my list of needs. That should probably be my next purchase. Probably a good call on the wiper delete being silly, too.

I don't know what P & G would do to a diesel, but I'd definitely EOC up to every light. Even with a mostly highway commute, if you EOC, your next post will be "Broke a thousand miles on this tank"
I increased my mileage by like 10 mpg just by shutting mine off at lights, but my commute has lots of lights.

Please please pleaseee hold out for a 5 speed! That does look like a nice car, tho. Also, with these cars documentation of service is important, especially timing belts. Its a must do item every 80k miles and its a $800 job. If they dont have paperwork for it being done, negotiate it into the price and get it done like yesterday. The guy I got mine from worked with me on the price because of this. It worked out great in the end.
Hmmm. Maybe I will try to EOC and bump start in 4th gear a bit this tank to experiment. That might get me to the 70 mpg mark!
