I found one on eBay. Shipped from China for USD$75.99 including postage. Which is cheaper than the EV Works one.

They look the same, it may be a factory in China that supplies Ev Works just selling them direct on eBay. Or maybe the EV Works one is produced locally and the eBay one is a copy.
I have ordered the eBay one, it will be interesting to see what it is like.
Just had another thought, it shouldn't be too difficult to adjust the throttle arms travel to make it output 1.5v to 3.5v if required. Thereby avoiding any noise related excursions into diode death valley.
