Old thread, but I have put a heat exchanger in my airbox just before/below the air filter and have a 3/8" bypass loop to the heater core source with a manual valve to adjust. Making the final hookup in the morning.
I have already blocked off the CAI and am pulling air from just above the lower Rad hose.
