Here is how I covered the inside of my Insight space saver wheels on the red VX to make them more aero. These are the wheels I put the vinyl covers on the outside to make them smooth and aero. Since I used supplies I already had on hand I think I will see a breakeven in MPG in at least 15 years.

There were 4 "holes" that were larger than the foam ring, so I duct taped them before I inserted the foam ring on the wheel

So far (1500 miles) centrifugal force is all that is needed to keep the ring in place.
