Thumbs up Best All Season Snow Tires (Sticky)

Ranked according to lap times in the snow.

[The benchmark snow tire (IMO) is the "studless" Continental Extreme Winter Contact with the lowest lap time of 80.17 without losing dry and wet grip, followed by the Michelin Xi3 with 81.00 and happens to be LRR also, unusual for a studless tire. A studdable tire which I don't have a lap time for but which I think may be impressive unstudded is the General Altimax Arctic made along side Continental in Germany. As far as snow performance tires goes, and this is an important comparison to the all seasons, the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 has the lowest lap time of 91.02 and the Dunlop Winter Sport 4D came in at 94.57, which is going to allow me to kick off my all season list with some impressive numbers and twice the tread wear.]

1. 94.23 Hankook Optimo H727
2. 96.95 Continental ProContact EcoPlus Technology*
3. 99.25 Continental PureContact EcoPlus Technology*
(TrueContact not tested)
4. 99.42 Michelin HydroEdge with Green X
5. 99.53 Continental ExtremeContact DWS
6. 100.10 Goodyear Assurance TripleTred All Season
7. 100.20 Michelin Primacy MXV4 Green X
8. 100.29 Yokohama Ascend Blue Earth (H or V)
9. 101.27 Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus LRR
10. 101.63 Kumho Ecsta PA31
11. 101.81 Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus EcoImpact
12. 101.90 General Altimax RT43
13. 102.90 General Altimax HP
14. 103.48 Goodyear Eagle Sport All Season VR

Now I see a lot of posts about the Michelin Defender so I found it's lap time of 109.20 for comparison to the Hankook H727. The H727 will stop from 20mph on snow in 60.02' and from 12mph on ice in 37.40, the lowest test results at $30 less per tire! The Defender came in at 75.40', that's 15 feet of protection at an intersection! The H727 also offers a 100k mile warranty! In case you are wondering about the Conti EWC, it stopped in 53.80' from 20mph on snow and 28.90' from 12mph on ice, the lowest test score on ice!
