I honestly think the 1.8L has a chance of matching the 1.4T, if they had the same final drive ratios. Cue conspiracy theories. Did GM increase the 1.8L drive ratio to bump down the mpg and sell more 1.4T's?

The stock difference is only 1mpg city, 2 highway.
