I like the Civic's style from the same era better, but as far as I am concerned the standard nissan GA16DE 1.6 engine which came out first in 1991 models is far superior and without the ricers messing them up. 100k plugs, no valve adjustment in over 100 k miles, and no timing belt to trash the engine.
That fact that that same body style is still produced and sold worldwide means parts are readily available and reasonably priced.
I think it was one of the last Nissan cars that was built in Japan before they built the factory in Smyrna Tennesee and it did make a difference in quality.
