So this evening I took her out for the first drive (busy week). The exact same route as I was able to achieve a reliable 59mpg in my 1.6 diesel sw with a warm starting engine. It's approx 60% fast road 50% urban driving with 30mph limits.
In the Insight, with a cold start and a first time drive, I managed 60.4mpg imperial
Tyres look as if they are under-inflated too. And not by hypermiling standards either!
I'm very happy with the car in general. Very comfy seats. Very smooth, easy drive and the handling is leagues ahead of my previous car.
No buyer's remorse here!
