This is true, volumetric efficiency is increased with a turbo. However, I have seen more times than not on dieselplace.com and other forums that guys who turbo the 6.2 have lower FE. Most admit to stomping the skinny pedal more due to it being "more fun" to drive... these guys also turn up the fuel, sometimes maxing it out. If the fuel was left alone or slightly increased and attention to throttle watched, I could see good gains coming out of a setup... just no one does that
