Good. NiMH hates overcharge, it is the reason that despite the fact that it won't kill the battery immedity you have to treat it like a Li-ion cell: keep it moderately charged (over and undercharge hurts NiMh,) cool, and have a charger that knows when to terminate charging based on state of charge (and to know where 100% SOC is you need a monitoring wire running to every single cell or over time the cells will become so poorly matched that you can't find the voltage depression that indicates a NiMH cell is full due to varying rates of self discharge.)

Gah. I remembered why I like sayno eneloops: they are insanely rugged for a NiMH cell in terms of electrical (a 120S2P pack made out of AA cells would likely handle the current draw of the IMA system (what? 20 amps tops?) but only cost $500 if you bought in bulk, not self discharge, and I think a 120S4P would match the stock IMA pack in capacity) and thermal tolerances (150 degree temperatures won't kill them.)
