Make sure the tires are inflated to the number on the tire. Check in the cars owners manual and see if it is safe for the car to be flat towed, most cars will say it is safe at 30MPH for 30Miles. If you do get brave enough to try it do it in a parking lot at a slow speed and push the gas in just a little when you shift into drive. If you feel a strong kick from the car or a bang sound its probally not good. I would make a bet and say that when people shift from reverse to drive in a parking lot without completly stopping they are doing much more damage then neutral to drive wilth a rev match does. i have yet to drive a car that will kick or bang when you shift from neutral to drive with a rev match.
