My manual says tow engine off 35mph and less than 50 miles, which I read later at the suggestions on this site.
Very shortly, 2 or 3 days, after starting mild EOC 45mph to stop and a few 60mph to 45mph coasts on the highway my tranny light coded, flashing OD off light. 2 weeks later and my car is at the tranny shop getting an overhaul. 145,000 miles with no problems. The indication is that the torque converter is not locking up now. May be coincidental, but really not worth it. My 2 cents, if you are running an automatic and want to coast do engine ON coasting in neutral twards a stop sign, traffic light or landing to park.
You have been blessed to get 250k out of the tranny, be good to it unless you are ready for an overhaul anyhow.
