Did you know? Suzuki Swift/ Geo Metro water pump

Did you know the Suzuki Swift 1.3 water pump (not sure if the Eco choice 1.0 is the same) is common with a Holden 5.0l V8?

I'm thinking if that's the case then there's potentially a big gain to be had from switching to an electric pump. Anyone like to guess as to how different engines with obviously widely differing cooling requirements use the same pump?

The good news is that because modding Holdens is popular here, you can get a block off plate or adapter off the shelf:
