It's a great car for mpg, once you get it fixed. That's first priority.
Then a scangauge (or ultragauge if you prefer). I had mine adjusted to 1.8L instead of 1.6, coming out to 12.5%, similar to mechman's 13% but it's only 2 clicks to adjust.
