People eat Ostrich.

But the meat is damn expensive... the skin goes a long way, though.

Same with croc. Croc farming is one of the biggest damn wastes of resources... ever... the amount of meat you have to feed one to get it to a good size is insane.

I had a croc-burger once... just to see what it tasted like. Comparing it to chicken really short-sells the poultry industry. It wasn't all that good.

Missed the initial discussion on wood... but I'd like to note... if you're against wood in cars, the wood veneer in most high-end cars is harvested from sustainable forests, and the veneer itself is sliced paper thin, and merely lacquered onto the plastic panels of the interior.

In other words... an entire wooden interior on a Rolls Royce is probably less wood than it takes to make a good sized magazine. And it's less toxic than paint. And it'll last the life of the car.

As opposed to the nearly fifty pounds of paint on the outside of the Roller.

Really ecological cars shouldn't have anything but four sets of pedals and bar stools for seats.

Close enough.
