Wiring in the video mirrors is the hardest part. I have had to rework the wiring several times. The worst problem I had was a power wire that was rubbing on the steering column eventually shorted and I could not start my car.

Locating the monitor(s) is also important. They need to not reflect onto the windshield - at night even the "black" image reflects as a rectangle on the inside of the glass which prevents you from seeing things at night. Mounting the monitors close enough to the driver, is how I fixed this. It will depend on your car and where you can put the monitor(s).
