Yep, the rebate is a real PITA & not worth the trouble to me. I was able to get a couple UG's on the Tacoma World group buy for 50.00 each (no rebate needed), but not sure when they are having the next one. Usually 2-3 times a year.
I keep mine right on top of the steering column. It easily tucks away in the side pocket when I need to hide it.
