You didn't look hard enough, Ecky! Here is a whole page of them on Ebay, some are pretty cool looking!

I had considered putting my clutch interrupt switch right where you have it, Ecky. I even pulled the piece off the side of the steering column to make sure it could go there. But I came up with the same problem you're having, it's too hard to reach behind the steering wheel without some kind of extension.
I also considered putting it above the little storage tray on the left of the dash, but even that's not ideal, since it's not that easy to reach while driving. I might just install mine down on the center console below the shifter.
