2.3% optimistic seems like quite a large error for the odometer. I wonder if Nissan did this intentionally, or if it's just the tires that are being used.
I don't know about the accuracy of the odometer on the TSX yet, but the speedometer under-reports the speed by about 1%. At 60 MPH indicated, I'm actually doing 59.5 MPH. Of course, I have an analog gauge, so there is some interpretation error.

I know for many evs they either do not have regen braking or the regen is wasted as a surface charge if the vehicle is equipped with lead acid batteries. I believe with the leaf its able to take it all in and allow you to successfully reuse it on your next launch.

When I get an EV, I will drive it as quickly as I believe I can get away with while maintaining safety. At 1/3 the cost of gasoline, I won't care if it cost me an extra $0.05 on my round-trip commute to work. If I find free charging at work, I'll care even less about efficiency, although I will maintain some habits such as coasting and attempting to use regen braking instead of friction braking.
My attitude will completely change when I have range anxiety about making it to my parents house 70 miles away on a dark and cold winter night. 55mph and just enough HVAC to keep the frost off the windows.
