some cars are easier than others. S-series saturns and VW golfs can be done with the tranny in the car and ~$20 and a trip to the boneyard. Others might also be easy. It is a no-brainer for those with a 5th gear cover that you can get to in the car (and at the boneyard). Otherwise consider a tranny swap.
