Mostly the gearing. The best ratio for the Mazda axle is 3.31:1, if you can find it. Also I get a good limited slip, better brakes, a more common lug pattern, and with it comes a better rear suspension geometry, because there's no way to transfer the offset high Watt's link pivot to this axle, so I can move it lower and centered behind the axle, plus make it chassis-mounted. Then that frees space to replace the triangulated 4-link with a 3-link that won't bind up and cause snap oversteer. So I'm re-engineering the car on a total maximum budget of $ 5000. The first major changes will be getting the front end done. Then I can get the engine and trans in before moving to the rear end. All that before finishing the interior.
