I posted this in the Alternative Transportation section under Bicycle pics too. The coast down speed with fairing as shown is 16 mph vs 17 mph without. The hill at the end of the street drops 30 ft in 0.1 mile on my digital speedometer. I am working on side panels and a tail box. One year on the bike has been great. I stay warm and mostly dry since it covers from the shoulders to the knees. Cross wind input is negligible. A stiff tail wind can propel me a bit. I want to copyright and sell plans under the name "Endless Tailwinds" with versions for mountain bikes, TT style commuters, and 50cc scooters. I've been out of work for two years so this income would be important to our family. I also think that many low income people around the world will benefit especially if I can get the drag reduced by 25% for a total system. Minimal material cost and simple construction are also key.
