I would be tempted to squeeze some more fuel economy out of that fuel rail in the VW Tiguan. Remembering the Philippines it gets real hot. No wonder they start to panic if there is starter switch.
We lived there, in the mid 70's, while stationed on the main island.
You know as long as it is all in fun, you didn't win, you can at least say you tried. There is still a lot regular gains to be made at the same time.
