If more people did it... yeah. It's just like anything though- do you want to be part of the solution or part of the problem? No, I'm not going to argue that burning any fuel at all makes one part of the problem. It's how efficiently one's tasks get completed.

I do the gas can thing too but in the end it seems to be more of a psychological benefit- satisfies my hoarding genes- than a monetary one.
